I've only had this dishwasher for a week, but have used the 1-hour, normal, heat and no heat cycles. We can hardly hear it running and everything is clean. I was disappointed my pizza pan would not fit upright.

I was totally shocked at how quiet this dishwasher is, considering I paid less than $400! Cleans well too. Only negative is that normal cycle is 2-1/2 hrs but uses 3 gal water vs. 1 hr cycle which uses 5 gal. Longer cycle, less water. I've been running when I go to bed so longer run time not a problem.

Aside from asking for this review I have heard from no one about this product. I have a question about it. After using it, the dishwasher is still very wet on the inside - even after the drying cycle. My last Whirlpool dishwasher was not like this. I'd like to know if this is normal and, if not, should someone should come take a look at it?
As for features, I wish designers would go back to putting the silverware rack in the door. This frees up more space in the bottom rack for dishes. My 2006 model had the silverware rack in the door. That was a much better design.

This an excellent dishwasher. I installed it myself in less than an hour . I replaced a twenty year plus old Whirlpool dishwasher which gave us absolutely no trouble until it failed completely ( control panel buttons failed one by one until it would no longer function ) The mechanical works ( pump, etc.. ) never failed.

The Whirlpool dishwasher accommodates more dishes than the previous one I owned. The dishes and glasses are sparkling clean. It is quiet. The only feature I do not like is the way it opens. I wish it actually had a handle and not one under the top of the dishwasher.

I bought this about a month ago. It cleans the dishes great! There are a couple features I miss that my old one had. One is, I wish there was a dry cycle with just air instead of only heat. Also there is no good place to put bowls, the dividers don't lend themselves well to that. Other than that, it's fine. I didn't want anything fancy and it's not and that's good!

We have had the unit in operation for two months and have found it's food-scrubbing capabilities superior to other models we have had. the dual layer of sweep arms is superior to the elevating towers of our previous units.
The controls are simple, maybe a little too simple. We prefer to avoid heated drying, opting to open the door and air-dry. The unit does not have a provision to do that...all cycles include heated drying. You can turn the unit off when heated drying starts but you have be there to do that.
The unit has a capability to use a "rinse" enhancer. We don't use them but the tradeoff is water spotting.
This is the quietest unit we have ever seen much less had in the house.
The capacity is OK, the racks are simple and as a result don't make full use of the space available as everything has to fit in the un-optimized holder configuration of each of the trays.

It does have a long wash cycle. It's not very loud. It holds a lot of cups or what ever up top. I love the long silverware holder. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was the design of the rack spikes. They go straight up which doesn't hold my bowls. The last dish washer I had, had a set of curved spikes to hold bowls. Other than that, I really like the dish washer.

After deep & lengthy research online, in stores, etc., we purchased this D/W and are delighted that it works fine.
